I been doing a lot of thinking lately about the state of things in the Good Old USA, and it seems like we must have took a wrong turn somewhere back down the line. These days when you pickup the newspaper or hear a news report, you read all kind of things being said by people who ain't quoted and can't be questioned. Folks give their opinions just like they are stating facts, and the next thing you know some policeman has been found guilty of crimes against the public by the public, or some politician is guilty of lying and cheating just because somebody said so.
In the Good Old USA, you are supposed to be innocent until proven guilty. However, with the backing of the American Press, folks are being judged "Guilty" with only accusations to back up the charges. This is a dangerous course my friends, and one which seeks to destroy freedom itself. I challenge the News Folks to clean up their act and start reporting facts not just accusations. This applies to both those who favor the Skunks (Republicans), and the Polecats (Democrats) Put an end to wide-spread "Yellow Journalism" (definition below)
Definition: "Yellow journalism and the yellow press are American terms for journalism and associated newspapers that present little or no legitimate well-researched news while instead using eye-catching headlines for increased sales.[1] Techniques may include exaggerations of news events, scandal-mongering, or sensationalism."
