Nankipooh: Biggers History

Nankipooh The Biggers Family (From The Nankipooh Enquirer)

RE: “History”

My Great, Great Grandfather’s name was James Joseph Walton Biggers. In 1828

when he was just a small boy of four years, his family moved from South Carolina to

a small frontier town on the Chattahoochee River, called Columbus, Georgia. He

spent the next sixteen years of his life growing up near the river and watching his

father plow the hard, red Georgia clay, in an effort to feed his family. At the age of

twenty, JJW Biggers struck out on his own, and started his own farm in Harris

County, Georgia near what is now Calloway Gardens, but in those days there was

just Mulberry Grove and a little village named Hamilton.

During the period leading up to the Civil War his farming efforts prospered, and by the time of his death, he owned about two thousand acres in Harris County and about three hundred more in a little village north of Columbus called Nankipooh. After his death, his heirs received shares, but the farming continued under the direction of his son, Bascome Biggers who was born a view years prior to the Civil War. During Bascome’s time Nankipooh consisted of five or six farms run by the families named Livingston, Walton, Moon, Adams, and Biggers. Bascome remained on the land until his death, at which time the properties were divided among his eight children. Three of those children spent their lives in Atlanta, while four remained on the land in Nankipooh, while the youngest, James Walton Biggers moved into Columbus and became a successful architect and designed many of the cities most prominent buildings, including the Public Library.

The oldest son, James Norman Biggers continued the farming and married one of the Livingston girls from the farm across the road, whose name was Bessie Lee Livingston, and thus those two farms were united. By the 1950’s James Norman Biggers also ran a store called Biggers Grocery at the intersection of Hamilton Road and Fortson Road which also intersected the Central of Georgia rail line connecting Columbus and Atlanta.

The Biggers family played a prominent role in settling Nankipooh and were part of the building of Nankipooh School and the Pierce Chapel Methodist Church a few miles north of the school. There are many stories concerning the origins of the name Nankipooh, The version which Norman Biggers (born 1885) believed to be true was that Nankipooh was a great chief of the Muscogee Indians who were a branch of the Cherokee living in the Chattahoochee Valley when the first white settlers arrived in the area and founded Columbus and later Nankipooh.

From the Nankipooh Enquirer:
Election of 2016

For years Old Bascomb has been telling you to vote against both the Skunks and the Polecats, and to vote against "Politics as Usual".
However,  the American People have spoken.

Let us now begin the process of Healing and Re-Building, and "Make this Country Love itself Again!"
The Colonel

After watching all of the debates and viewing dozens of "news" stories revealing the dis-honest and sleazy nature of both candidates, as well as being subjected to an endless array of campaign ads which evidence a vulgar display of millions of wasted dollars, I have come to the only answer possible.  Neither of the two major party candidates is worthy of becoming President of the Good Old USA!

"Let's see, the election seems to be coming down to a race between a Professional Politician and a Billionaire Businessman who both claim to be People's Candidates.  Yeah Right, when do you think either one of them ever had to worry about the rent money?  Bascomb Biggers is still your best bet!"

Just a couple of Questions

"Just a couple of Questions out of Curiosity"

I'm just a curious kind of guy, always looking for answers to questions that pop up in my head. To some of these questions, I might actually know the answer, and some I might guess at the answers. While some questions, I don't have a clue as to the answer, but still the question needs to be asked.

Now for instance, you take our President, “Uncle Joe”. he has been on the political scene for quite a long time, but how many really know what he really stands for. He has a very long history of saying some pretty dumb things, and being on a lot of different sides of issues at one time or another. One thing I am pretty sure of, is that most of the time he has always been on the side of the most votes in whatever election he was running in. But here are a few questions that maybe should be asked.

  1. Does his wanting to send money to the Ukraine have anything to do with his son having been rather lucratively employed by those folks?

  2. Does his reluctance to back Israel have anything to do with the fact that the former President was chummy with the leader of Israel?

  3. Does his being Vice President during the 2016 election have anything to do with the bogus investigation by the FBI of the other party's candidate?

  4. Is he telling the truth when he says he had nothing to do with inflation problems, when he helped pass a trillion dollar spending bill when the country was already in a trillion dollar budget deficit?

  5. What about his contribution to rising oil prices by cutting off major American energy production, and then blaming greedy oil companies, while releasing million of gallons of reserves to get prices at the pump down, six months before the election. Might there be some fire behind all that smoke?

  6. A big question would be did he have anything to do with a NY DA office, controlled by his party, trying his opponent for crimes quickly and quietly switched from misdemeanors to felonies, and tried by a specifically appointed judge?

  7. Why did the FBI raid the former President's house over classified documents, but accepted Uncle Joe's response, “That he just forgot"?

  8. And finally, How stupid is the American public?

REPARATIONS

"REPARATIONS"

I have been hearing a lot about Reparations, and I have decided that I am definitely for it.  After all, my name is Biggers, and we know that everyone with the names Biggers, Bigger, Biggars, or Biggar originally came from the town of Biggar in Scotland, which up until 1649, was inhabited by Serfs (Slaves) belonging to the King of England.  My ancestors first left there in 1513, during the rein of King Henry VII, and we all know what a "Pip" he was!  So there is just no telling how great and wealthy my family might have become, if they had not started out as slaves to those pesky English.  So I am requesting that Queen Liz make fair Reparations available to me and all of the rest of us former Serfs.

Since the first Biggers arrived in America in the 1600's, then anybody who ever worked for them as a slave should be able to get some money too, as soon as we get ours from Liz.

"Now that's the way I see it, and you can tell'em I said so!"
